What is the Improved Access and Rights of Way Scheme?

This scheme is designed to help community projects promote and improve footpaths and rights of way within rural Conwy. The scheme also aims to promote the health benefits of walking, and to encourage residents and visitors to actively explore their local landscape, history and culture.

Financial assistance is available for project marketing, for maintenance and improvement work to public footpaths where required, and for planning walking events – including those which coincide with Conwy County Borough Council’s annual Walking Week.
