What is the ICT Rural Support Service?
The Information and Communication Technology Rural Support Service offers impartial advice and guidance to micro-enterprises and voluntary, charitable or community groups in rural Conwy, on the use of information and communication technology within their organisations.
The focus of this service, based at Glasdir in Llanrwst, is to provide one-to-one consultation with a qualified and experienced advisor and, where appropriate, to refer users to other service providers or private sector suppliers.
The main aims of the service are: to provide ICT support and training in rural areas in order to enhance business effectiveness, to provide support for the promotion of community events and development projects, to assist with the diversification of the agriculture sector by enhancing ICT skills, and to help develop and promote rural products through the use of ICT.
