Digital Tourist Information Points
About the project
This project aims to boost tourism in rural areas by installing interactive information points at key locations across rural Conwy to ensure visitors are able to make the most of their stay.
The Digital Tourist Information Points can be controlled by either touch or mobile phone and offer visual information about the huge range of things to see and do in rural Conwy. Visitors will be able to find out about attractions, activities, events, eating out, view the local weather forecast and much more. The information is presented in order of locality with the closest attractions etc given priority however information is available for the whole of Conwy county.
The Digital Tourist Information Points feature up-to-date traffic news and also allow users to plan their journey using public transport to other key visitor towns. Walking routes, cycle tracks, audio trails and other items of interest will also be available for download to mobile devices. Service users are also able to add items of interest to a basket that is compiled into a bespoke list that is able to be viewed at leisure on their mobile device.
The facility will be promoted through a variety of sources. To find out more, please contact Anthony Woodhouse on 01492 577575 or 07717 543660 alternatively email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
