Conwy Rural Partnership

Community Capacity Building…

Conwy Cynhaliol (Sustainable Conwy) (2011-2013) is a local scheme offering grant support for local communities to strengthen their skills and abilities to take leading roles in their own development.
Funding is available to support a range of measures such as:

Community consultations or appraisals to identify demand for facilities or services

Action plans to provide a sound framework for projects

Training for members of the community to participate in locally run projects

Events to raise awareness of locally important issues

Feasibility studies to support cases for other projects and funding

Funding is available for up to 75% of costs, subject to eligibility. Projects of all scales will be considered although those which demonstrate partnership working and have both wide support and offer wide benefits will be prioritised.

Applications follow a two stage process, following initial discussion with a project officer:

1          Submission of formal Expression of Interest (EoI)

Form available from the project officer

Decision on suitability taken by Conwy Rural Partnership’s
Local Axis 4 Group.

2          Submission of full application

Form provided following approval of the EoI

Approval by Local Axis 4 Group.

Initial expressions of interest and full applications are assessed by the Local Axis 4 Group who evaluate the contribution of the proposals to the objectives of the Conwy Rural Development Strategy and Axis 4 of the Rural Development Plan.
